Where, in this wide world, can man find nobility without pride, friendship without envy, or beauty without vanity?
There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent. There is nothing so quick, nothing more patient.
America's past has been borne on his back, all our history is his industry. We are his heirs, he our inheritance. The horse.
-Ronald Duncan

Ace In The Hole (Colossus) 1998 Trakehner cross gelding. 16hh Colossus is a beautiful and balanced horse. He has a great personality and gets along well with other horses. He can easily be ridden by an amateur/ novice rider. He needs someone with a bit more schooling and confidence for trail riding as dominant horses sometimes intimidate him and he is strong at the canter. He has done 4-H and been schooled at Dressage. He is a sweet horse, and gets along well with other horses. He has been ridden on trails for the last few years and is now a wonderful trail horse as well. He does need a living situation where he is able to have free access to shelter, and will not be locked in a stall as he will kick incessantly even when there are other horses around him. Contact us for more information.

Nipper is well schooled and can be
ridden easily by a confident amateur rider. He has done trail riding
and ring work & he's worked at the racetrack. He's very easy to
ride, and gets along well with other horses. He has a great
personality and loves attention. He does have a little bit of
arthritis in his back ankles, and should wear support boots for any
long rides.
Nipper's adoption fee is $400 Nipper needs a permanent or foster home ASAP (posted 1/8/12). Nipper is currently fostered by T Martino of Pennsylvania
Classic Da Mata (Classic) (ARG) (Nightlover - Nevada Da Mata) 2003 Dutch Warmblood gelding. star, LH coronet Classic is a beautiful, well schooled, jumper with great heart and determination. Concrete Charlie (Charlie) - - New Home Pending! (Steve's Big Deal - Cinesphere ) 1995 Bay Thoroughbred gelding. 16. hands Charlie is a wonderful horse to ride. Charlie has had beginner riders on him and he's done wonderfully. He's been on trails alone and with other horses. He has a great personality and gets along with other horses. His best situation is turnout with access to shelter. When he's inside for any length of time, he will chew out of boredom. Charlie would be a great choice for a relatively new rider (with supervision) and could do flatwork, or trail riding, and maybe even some showing. He's always dependable.
Charlie is being fostered and evaluated for adoption by Laura Houston of NC Thank you, Laura!

Cupid adoption pending! 2007 champagne Haflinger gelding 14.3 hands
Cupid is a smart, kind horse and a beautiful
mover. His work ethic is
phenomenal and he could excel in almost any discipline. Cupid's potential
is limitless. He's a super little free jumper; he could pull a cart; he
could do pony club, trail riding, etc.... He will need a confident
rider to give him additional "saddle time" and help him refine his cues,
and after that, we would guess that a confident novice could easily ride
him.

Don Gregory (Greg) (Don Gregory - ) 1996 Chestnut Oldenburg gelding. 16.1 hands Greg's is very fancy and is a beautiful mover. He is very athletic & is used to being in a program...ridden about four times a week. He's a little lazy so he's been ridden with nubby spurs to give him a little tickle. He loves attention and has a super personality. Greg works best in a port and martingale. He is quite an easy ride for an amateur/novice. He would be a superb teacher on the flat. No jumping. He had a soft tissue injury in his RF foot in 2008. We want to make sure that he has no chance of re-injury with the toll jumping can take on a horse over time. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RENeIbL0Efg
Greg is located in Uxbridge, MA and is being fostered and evaluated by K. Mason.
Invisible Girl (Girl) 2004 bay Thoroughbred mare 15.3 hands Girl is very kind and easy going. She is so easy going that she took to schooling like she'd been doing it for months. This is a horse that will be so easy to school for a particular discipline. She's smart, and she doesn't mind work. She isn't barn or buddy sour and she enjoys having a job. When she doesn't know what you are asking for, she tries and has no issue with being asked. She could do any type of flatwork, trail riding, show. She gets along well with other horses, and is not “mare-ish”. Girl is an exceptional mare. Minimum skill level for ring, novice. Intermediate otherwise.

John 2004 dark brown Mule gelding. ~14.2 hands. John is a beautiful boy who appears to have either been severely abused, or hardly handled. He is apprehensive of people and if he feels threatened, he may become defensive. When he has been "caught" he will allow you to halter him and he will lead or stand, as you ask. As far as we know, John has no formal schooling and will need a home either where he can do nothing but be a mule, or where he will be in a consistent program with a PATIENT AND EXPERIENCED HANDLER. We do need a permanent or foster home for John as soon as possible (listing him 10/27/11).
No placement fee.

He taught a beginner to ride, mostly on her own, with little coaching for either of them. He is finished, and has done Dressage, jumping and flatwork. He just completed (11.12.11) recovery from a bruised muscle in his L stifle area. Khan is very well schooled, and very laid back. If you are interested in Khan, please contact us with any questions. He is a great trail horse, and a great horse to have "fun" with...flatwork, low level dressage, etc...
Rider skill level is advanced beginner.

Lady 1995 bay Standardbred mare 15.2 hands Lady is a sweet, kind horse that loves attention. She is sensitive to all cues, neck reins, and can easily be ridden by a confident novice rider. Lady is blind. That said, she is absolutely amazing! She has been ridden regularly both in the ring and outdoors since losing her sight. Special requirements for Lady are simple... a pasture with no trees that have low branches, and only one other horse, or no other horse. Her lack of sight is no reason to pass over her. Give her time to trust you and she will prove that she is a reliable mount. She has proven herself time and again when being ridden by a variety of people. Minimum skill level, novice.
Placement fee is $100

When this video was taken, Lady has not been ridden in over a year, nor was she longed/schooled prior to riding.
Lillian (Lily) 2005 dark brown Mule jenny. ~14.2 hands. Lily is a beautiful girl with a nice personality. She is somewhat apprehensive of people, but shows promise if handled and worked with consistently. She has no formal schooling as far as we can tell and will need a home either where she can do nothing but be a mule, or where she will be in a consistent program for a particular discipline. We do need a permanent or foster home for Lily as soon as possible (listing her 10/27/11).

Private Practice (Tut) (Distinctive Pro - Personal Nurse) 1999 bay Thoroughbred gelding 17 hands. Ridden by greats, Jose Santos, Jorge Chavez & Edgar Prado; trained by Richard Duttrow (Big Brown) & Gary Contessa, to name two, Tut won close to $250,000 in his career. When he injured his knee, he dropped to the claiming ranks and eventually ended up with kill buyer Josh McKay of WV. Tut was rescued shortly after McKay attempted to sell him at the New Holland Livestock Auction in 2006. Tut is now reaping the good life of semi-retirement. He can be ridden for pleasure, and can be ridden by a novice in the ring. Being that he and Chet have been together and done nothing for several years, please be aware that there could be some separation anxiety when you first start working with either horse if you wish to ride. Therefore, we strongly suggest that you give them a few weeks to settle in, then slowly begin separating them and provide each with a refresher course in groundwork before attempting to ride either horse. He is very bonded to Chet (Tactical Side - see below), so we would like to place both geldings in a home together. Tut's placement fee is $400 Tut is being fostered by Rocchina Salvi and Carl Howard of KY. Tut is located in Grove City Ohio.

My Kinda Circus (Chelsea) 1988 grey Quarter pony mare. 14.2 hands Chelsea is a wonderful mare. She is well schooled, & showed Western Pleasure in Ohio. She has also been ridden on trails. She is sound and can be ridden by a confident amateur rider. Chelsea has wonderful ground manners, and no vices. She is a very sweet mare, and a nice horse to ride. We rode her on 7/13/11, and that is the first time she'd been ridden in about four years. She had absolutely NO ISSUE with being tacked and taken for a ride. Chelsea is an excellent horse for flatwork, or trail riding. You do need to know how to properly cue a horse and can't confuse your cues with Chelsea. Novice or Junior rider recommended.

Rock Princess (Rocki) Adoption pending! 2008 bay Thoroughbred filly. 15.3 hands Star, LH coronet Rocki is one of the most sensible youngsters I have seen. She is not mare-ish, loves to work and is an easy horse to work with. She is sound and unraced. She has been schooled for pleasure riding and has been on trails. The little "spook" you see in the video is all the spook you'll see. When she looked outside the arena, she saw the round pen panels that had been placed there, and they startled her. She had a good foundation under saddle and had the potential for any discipline. Rocki is a very nice filly with a lot to offer.
