Bright Futures Farm is an equine charity whose primary focus is off the track Thoroughbreds...horses that can no longer race due to disinterest or injury.  Our dedication has grown to include horses that are difficult to find homes for...older horses that are unwanted after their "useful years" are over, and older stallions that cannot be gelded due to the risk of complications.

We are always in need of foster homes.  When you foster a horse you help us save one more from harm.  Fostering expenses are tax-deductible.  If you have room, please ask us about our foster program.

There are times when we are asked to take a horse and we are full.  We don't ever want to turn a horse away, so we have opted, when we cannot take a horse into our program, to provide the owner with a courtesy listing.  We have no knowledge of the horse's capabilities or limitations other than what information the owner provides. Owner information is provided, verbatim below each horse's photo.  Please contact the owner directly with regard to the horse you are interested in.  Whenever seeking a new horse for yourself or your family, we recommend a pre-purchase exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Sidni is approximately 24 years old and can only see shadows. Otherwise, she appears to be in good health.  Her owner's daughter contacted us.  Her father, who was Sidni's primary caregiver, passed away earlier this year, and her mother has COPD and is having great difficulty caring for Sidney.  She needs her feet done, and will probably need a dental checkup.  Kisha needs to find Sidni a home asap.  Can anyone give this lovely mare a retirement home?  Sidni is located in northwestern PA, near Titusville.  Please contact us for more information. E-mail: brightfuturesfarm@gmail.com   Thank you.
