Feeback regarding Daphne's death and the facts surrounding the incorrect statements made by S&E Transport

S&E posted feedback on uship.com first.  I intentionally waited for them to post as it gave me two opportunities to make statements.  One as a response to their lies, and a second to set the record straight.  Below is their post and my response.  I will detail their lies below the post.  The posts are taken in their entirety from www.uship.com  They are still accessible as of today, 9-15-07.

8/2/2007 Shipper Negative bevdee (1) Member is logged in now Extremely difficult customer to work with. Never informed that these were wild horses, no current health records provided for transport, horses were left in a field for us to corral without assistance, hindered our efforts to provide emergency care even to our driver who was injured by one of the horses, refused payment of transport. A very bad situation that we should have walked away from but tried to help because we believed these were horses that needed to be rescued. View Listing
Response from bevdee:
Horses were not 'wild'. 1 mare was 30, 2nd mare was 17. Gelding was emaciated 26 yo. 1-1/2 day late p-up. Hauler was told load older 1st & 17 yo would follow. Hauler was rarely in touch unless I made call. Hauler chased mares after dk, put both in small stall, spooked them somehow, and forgot to tell you that bec of his negligence 1st mare broke leg and had to be euthanized, and 2nd collapsed in trailer from heat & no one treated her. full report w/pics on our web site soon: Bright Futures Farm

1.  Was I extremely difficult to work with?  Had they followed my instructions, no.  When they did not, and one of my horses died, I became extremely difficult - YES.

2.  She states she was never informed they were wild horses.  Again, they are not.  These people took a story about horses on a neighboring property in Catlett and tried to use it to their advantage when things went awry and Daphne was injured.

3.  She states no current health records, yet her driver handed me the envelope with the originals in tact inside.  You can see a copy of each Health certificate and Coggins for each horse by clicking the links below.  The originals are in our files in our office.  Did these people really think they could get away with making statements like this?

click here for a copy of Tiny's & Daphne's health certificate (they're both listed on the same one)

click here for a copy of Tiny's current coggins

click here for a copy of Daphne's current coggins

click here for a copy of Gordy's health certificate

click here for a copy of Gordy's current coggins

4.  She states that horses were left in a field for them to corral without assistance.

They were TOLD not once, but at least three times not to load after dark.

They guaranteed me a morning pickup.

They were told that there would be "assistance" in the morning.

The temperature was 110 degrees outside.  There was no reason to "corral" these horses that evening as the driver and Sherry Nuney had already been told at least once by the time of his arrival NOT TO ATTEMPT TO  LOAD AT NIGHT.

5.  She says I hindered their efforts to provide emergency care to their driver.  I'd still like to know how I did that.  I was in Pennsylvania.  Driver has his own mind (I think).  If he really needed "emergency care", I think he'd have gotten it.

6.  She says she believed these horses needed to be rescued.  She knew full well these horses just needed to be moved.

Below is my negative feedback posted on uship.com and S&E's response.  Again, a series of lies that can be clearly shown as such.

8/10/2007 Service Provider Negative bevdee (1) Member is logged in now Shipper agreed to straight haul for special needs horses (age, BSC and heat). Shipper did not do so. Driver & owners were negligent & irresponsible which resulted in the death of one horse. 30 yo mare and emaciated gelding were on trailer for 24+ hours 100+ temp. Mare collapsed due to heat exhaustion (verified by attending vet) and was stepped on by gelding. Both arrived dehydrated. Owner called vet for mare that died, then refused to pay. Response from Thumper34753:
These are slanderous statements and can be documented by the vet that we called when the mare in question attacked our driver and injured herself. Owner was unreachable and we had to take emergency action without her assistance.

1.  There is no way the statements I made were slanderous.  At best, they were libelous (but they weren't that either).  She says that the vet can document that the statements I made were slanderous.  Interesting that the vet has yet to receive payment from S&E for the $360 bill they ran up by being negligent and disregarding my order to quit attempting to catch and load my horses.

2.  First, their driver got kicked.  Now, he's been attacked.

3.  She says owner was unreachable.  Yet my phone records clearly show incoming and outgoing calls the night of Daphne's death.  Those are already documented for you on the original page of this report.

Lie after lie after lie.   Do you want these people transporting your horse?
