Bright Futures Farm Sanctuary Cats

Bright Futures Farm is an equine charity whose primary focus is re-homing off the track Thoroughbreds...horses that can no longer race due to disinterest or injury…horses unwanted by their owners and sent to auction where most are purchased for slaughter.  Our dedication has grown to include providing sanctuary for older horses that are unwanted after their "useful years" are over, including older stallions that cannot be gelded due to the risk of complications and stray cats and kittens that have found their way to our farm.

We are always in need of cat toys, catnip, beds, old towels, used carriers or crates, scoopable litter, canned feed for the senior cats, and trashbags.  Please see our complete list at the bottom of this page.

A HUGE Thank You to PETCO for their grant to replace the roof and repair the ceiling on our Kitty Condos in 2009.

The building is approximately 30 years old.  We painted it once since we've been here, but it was in dire need of scraping, priming and painting again last year.  Additionally, the roof inside one of the rooms in the house began leaking with the torrential downpours we experienced last fall.  It was an emergency to re-shingle the roof  ASAP. PETCO came to our aid.

See after photos of the repairs below:
