HELP US SAVE HORSES
Every horse we rescue depends on you, because our rescue is 100% dependent on your donations. It's never easy, but we're committed and we need your help each month. It costs $250 per horse, per month, to properly care for our rescued horses and our barns are full.
Your donation of any amount is crucial. The horses need your help!
THREE WAYS TO GIVE
Safe, Secure and Tax-Deductible
ONE-TIME GENERAL DONATION
Bright Futures Farm receives no funding from state or federal agencies - we solely rely on YOU for support. Make a one-time donation that will help us continue to rescue horses in need and care for our permanent residents.
The most difficult job in horse rescue is not when we save a horse from a sad, desperate situation--it's when the emergency fades and we have to find the funds each month to care for our the horses in our care.
It costs, on average, $250 per horse each month to properly care for our permanent residents, and because Bright Futures Farm is funded solely by donations, sponsorships and grants, we are always in need of regular, monthly donations. Will you help us care for the horses at Bright Futures Farm and make a monthly donation?

2019 DONATION DRIVE
START THE NEW YEAR OFF RIGHT!
Will you make the difference for one of our very senior seniors in 2019? We have three horses that are now over the age of 30, the youngest being 31. They are on a diet of pelleted feed, rice bran oil, soaked beet pulp pellets and chopped, soaked alfalfa. They receive 3-5 meals a day - it depends on how much they eat at a time and how long it takes them to eat. To feed one of these horses for just one day costs $9.60. To feed just one of them for a month is $288. Will you provide food for a day, a week or a month to one of our very senior seniors? Click here to learn more.
TRUSTWORTHY AND PROVEN
Bright Futures Farm has been a trusted 501(c)(3) charity since 2000. We are accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) and have been since 2014. Being accredited by TAA means that we have proven, through independent documentation, that we are a transparent organization, use our funds wisely and provide excellent care to the horses at our facility. The TAA inspects our books and our facility several times a year.
We receive no funding from state or federal agencies. We rely solely on donations for support. Your financial support provides the food, supplements and care each horse here needs to stay healthy in their golden years.
HELP US DO WHAT WE DO BEST
AND GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE
Making a donation will allow us to continue to do what we do best...save horses that are suffering, abused, and neglected. The horses we rescued from the hanging barn in May were with us just five months and because of their dire condition, it cost over $18,000 to make them healthy again. Medical expenses for the six horses from the hanging barn alone were over $10,000 and funds raised for their care totaled $8,500...well short of what was needed. Will you join us and make a one-time donation? Better yet, will you become one of our wonderful monthly sponsors? (You can also check with your employer to see if they will match donations to 501(c)(3) charities and double your donation!)
The before and after photos of Cider from the hanging barn say it all. They tell the story of what we do. Please donate now, because your gift is truly the gift of life and we need your help!

CIDER FROM THE HANGING BARN
Each month we depend on tax-deductible donations, sponsorships and grants. We know that our honestly and transparency is the foundation of your support. You can verify our financials, and read testimonials from other donors by clicking the links for GuideStar and Network for Good. We have been Verified by The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and are Accredited by The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Both credentials required a thorough interview and on-site inspection of our facility, the animals in our care, and our financials by independent equine professionals, and an independent equine veterinarian.
