Bright Futures Farm is a sanctuary for retired Thoroughbreds.  We find homes for many horses that have the potential for a new career as a trail horse or family pleasure mount.   Our focus is to save as many horses as we can before  they are faced with neglect or auction. 

We are always in need of foster homes.  When you foster a horse you help us save one more from harm.  Fostering expenses are tax-deductible.  If you have room, please ask us about our foster program.

Right now, a large portion of our fundraising is for Pistol & his momma, Tessa. I literally moved his momma off of a kill buyer's trailer in the parking lot of New Holland Sales Barn SIX DAYS BEFORE PISTOL WAS BORN!

Pistol was born on June 23, 2008.  He will be here at least a year, and his momma will be here almost as long so that we can evaluate her for riding/driving.

We care for twelve to fifteen horses at any given time.  If you own one horse, multiply your monthly cost by twelve and that is the low end of what we spend to care for these magnificent creatures.  Until this past year, adoption feed covered approximately half of our annual expenses.  We are now predominantly a sanctuary, and therefore, with fewer adoptions occurring, we need your support now, more than ever.
